ARC Zapper

The ARC (Anchor-point Rift Connector) Zapper is a device used to connect and register a DEXcube anchor point to a pre-scripted World Disk. Simply insert the desired world disk into the disk slot to begin setup. When a world disk is entered into an ARC zapper that doesn’t yet have a registered anchor point, the lights on the end of the barrel will slowly flash. This indicates that the zapper is ready and waiting to set up a tunnel entry point.

ARC Zapper

Tunnel Entry Point

The tunnel entry point will be the location of all inbound tunnels between the World Disk that is inserted into the zapper, and the world that one is currently residing in. To set a tunnel entry point, find a suitable location, press and hold down on the zapper’s trigger, and don’t let go. An arc of light will shine out from the barrel of the zapper, creating a large door sized wall of light that will move around when pointing at any given direction. Once satisfied, let go of the trigger. From that point onward, all incoming tunnels will arrive at that chosen location, even if the anchored DEXcube registered in the next step, is moved or lost.

Now, arm the unregistered DEXcube, (a security pattern must be set on the DEXcube when armed for the first time) and toss it down in a safe area to activate. When activated, the DEXcube will emit a triangular arc of light outward to create a target for the ARC Zapper. Point at this arc of light and pull the trigger. The DEXcube will now forever be registered to the world scripted on the world disk and (if the zapper’s safety is off) a one-way tunnel will immediately open. **IMPORTANT** Please remember to follow the safety guidelines before entering a tunnel!! If at the time of registration, a tunnel is not desired, leave the safety switch set to the “on” position.
